Canada Day is on a Wednesday in 2026 to make for a long weekend for Monday-to-Friday employees. Taking an extra day off on the previous Friday or on Tuesday will no doubt be a popular choice to create a four day long weekend so be sure to coordinate with your employer and coworkers early on.
