On this page you will find general information and details about holidays in Canada for 2020.

Although not an official holiday, Halloween is a popular celebration and this year it's finally on a Saturday so the little ones can stay out late and parents don't have to rush home early from work to be on time for trick or treating.
In 2020 the Olymic Games was going to be held in Tokyo Jul 24, 2020 - Aug 9, 2020 but due to the Covid-19 pandemic the games have been cancelled.

Send in your comments, tips and ideas about holidays in Canada for 2020
There should be a day of remembrance for the beginning of COVID-19 (April 20) and should stand as a reminder that Canadians can do anything if we band together!
All provinces should share all statutory holidays that the Canadian government implements for their own offices, and we should have more not fewer. North Americans have the least amount paid days off per year of the countries in the free world. Furthermore, business closures on these days should be strictly enforced - yes - even Tim Hortons and other fast food places, gas stations etc.
Boxing Day is observed in BC.
